Maverick Staffing is seeking experienced Line Cooks to support restaurants, hotels, and event venues throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and timely service execution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times
- Ensure your station (Grill, Sauté, Fry, or Garde Manger) is fully stocked and ready for service before the rush begins.
- Cook menu items to exact specifications, ensuring perfect temperature, seasoning, and texture.
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the line to ensure all dishes for a table are ready at the same time.
- Expertly cook steaks, burgers, and proteins to the requested temperature (Rare, Medium-Rare, Well Done, etc.).
- Plate dishes with high attention to detail and consistency.
- Keep the station clean and sanitized during service (“clean as you go”) and handle proper breakdown at the end of the shift.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Prep Cook, Line Cook, or in a professional kitchen environment is required.
- Skills: Mastery of cooking techniques (sautéing, grilling, frying) and ability to multitask in a hectic environment. Deep understanding of food safety (HACCP) and meat temperatures.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must hold all valid state and local certifications required for the position.
- Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety practices
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
