Are you the “muscle behind the magic”? Maverick Staffing is hiring energetic and reliable Event Set-Up Specialists (Houseman) to support luxury hotels and convention centers in Dallas. You build the foundation for high-profile weddings, corporate galas, and major conferences.
- Setting up and breaking down hundreds of tables, chairs, and banquet equipment according to specific floor plans.
- Executing rapid turnovers of event spaces under tight deadlines (e.g., turning a conference room into a wedding reception in 2 hours).
- Assembling stages, risers, dance floors, and podiums.
- Transporting equipment, linens, and supplies across the property.
- Ensuring all equipment is clean, safe, and stored correctly after the event.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience in the hospitality industry and banquet/catering preferred but not required.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Physical: Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50+ lbs (23kg+) repeatedly throughout an 8-hour shift. You will be on your feet all day.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
- Appearance: Must maintain a professional and polished presentation.
- Schedule: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays if needed.
